About The Event

YOU WILL BE MAKING YOUR OWN FRY BAKE FROM BEGINNING TO END. You will get a chance to knead your dough and feel the texture of what the dough should feel like to make the best Trini Style Fried Bakes at home.

With all these recipes we are assuming you have dry spices, like salt, black pepper etc!

Ingredients

For the Fry Bake 

All Purpose Flour

Baking Powder

Salt

Sugar

Butter

Warm Water

Canola or Vegetable Oil

For Saltfish

1 lb boneless salted cod fish or bacalao

1 onion

2 garlic cloves

2 plum tomatoes

1/4 of yellow & orange bell peppers 

1 scallion or green onion

Fresh thyme

Parsley

Do Ahead:

Boil Saltfish for 20 - 25 minutes, drained and rinsed under running water, make sure water is covering the salted fish

Bowl

Measuring Cup & Spoons

Cutting Board

Sharp Knife

Wooden spoon

Pan for frying the bakes

Pan for frying up Saltfish
